Hi, I'm Mishelle, founder of The Ellectric Company!

I've helped hundreds of women and nonprofits inspire action and spark change — one project at a time

I’m a freelance graphic designer with 20+ years experience and a soft spot for nonprofits and women-led businesses. I handle everything from fundraising visuals to signage that holds up in a wind tunnel (it's a fun story!). I don’t do big corporations, and I’m not here for a full-time gig because I love to dictate my own schedule and travel as much as I can - but I am here to make your business look good and feel purposeful!

I specialize in digital and print design, and I’ll grumble through social media graphics because I know you need them! Anything I design, you ultimately own and I want you to be able to use it without hiring me again (or someone else!) down the road.

Since 2017, I've built two successful online businesses + a nonprofit. What's even more wild than that: over 90% of my paying clients in those first five years found me from the graphics I've shared on social media - there's power in the design you're putting out in the world. Let me help you with yours!

When I'm not designing something, I'm probably reading (or at the bookstore), on a hike, planning my next road trip, or watching a Bills game.

Formal Education

  • University of Portland: Bachelor of Arts with coursework + summer programs in Graphic Design and Photography; Editor-in-Chief, The Log

  • Rhode Island School of Design (RISD): ongoing Continuing Education coursework (Rebecca Yarros - one of my favorite authors - called it "The Harvard of Art Schools"!)

I’d love to hear from you!

Follow me on Instagram! It's the only platform I'm on - I share work, behind-the-scenes peeks, cat pics and probably too many nostalgic 90s references.
